Better than a phone support. 
Thank you for your input. Will certainly try this. For the record I did have a backup of the music files but I did not have a backup of the Mac mini itself. Lesson learned!
I solved the issue. I did have a backup of my music files. Thinking that the main storage external hard drive may have been corrupted I erased and formatted this drive and used Superduper software to copy the backup to my main storage drive. I restarted the Mac. Restarted Audirvana and all of my album art is back to normal! Glad that’s resolved!
I’m just curious as to how the drive got so messed up!
