Any ideas why Audirvana has suddenly stopped using my PC speakers

(Apologies if this the wrong forum)

When I started to use Audirvana today, there was no sound coming out of my PC speakers. I checked the screen and there is no volume ‘slider’ in the bottom RH corner. I checked the speakers by using another media player I have on my computer and they’re fine.

Has anyone got any ideas how I can fix this? (Is it a pure coincidence that I allowed the latest Win 10 update a few minutes before?)

Have you tried to restart Audirvana/PC?

Yep - it was the first thing I thought of! Just opened Audirvana right now - still nothing,

I forgot to add that I checked my firewall and Audirvana is specifically allowed. I’m out of ideas - has anyone from Audirvana got any?

Could you share the debug info?

(Damien quote:)
You can get it in Audirvana Settings>General>Debug Info

Note: By clicking on the Debug Info Audirvana button automatically copies all its content, all you have to do is paste it in response to this message

Hi Jacob,

Thanks for looking at this. I’ve pasted it all after my comments. From looking at the debug info, however, I think I can see where the problem is! For some reason, Audivarna has picked the wrong speakers but I’ll need you to tell me how to fix it.

Under ‘local audio devices’, it refers to ‘speakers (Microsoft) Manufacturer:
Model UID:Speakers (Microsoft) UID:\?\SWD#MMDEVAPI# etc’.

THIS HAS TO BE WRONG - I USE MM-1 speakers! (I can’t even find anywhere on my PC that mentions Microsoft speakers.)

I checked that my PC still recognises the MM-1’s as the default speakers by playing some music on my old Winamp player - they work fine so it seems to be an Audirvana problem. What I don’t understand though, is this: II’ve been using Audi. for several weeks now & I never had a problem! Why has it canged?

Following is the debug info:

Hi Bodger99,

I cannot tell you what happened. What I do see is that no audio output is currently
selected.

Just click on the speaker icon in the lower right corner and select them. Make sure that other apps are closed.
