While I still subscribe to Qobuz I find myself using Apple Music more and more. As it’s native in my Tesla where I spend a lot of time. As a result I find it disconnected when I sitting in front of my hifi where I use Audrivana trying to remember what I was listening to in the car.
Apple Music is also lossless now. And of good quality. Any chance of integrating it with Audirvana?? That would be a big plus as I’m finding I’m using Audirvana less and less due to this disconnect playing Apple Music on my Hifi Mac (where Audirvana lives) through their terrible remote app. Any hope for this??
I suspect it’s not in Audirvana’s hands but Apple’s.
Apple Music does have hi-res and had it for years. I subscribed for a while and it was frustrating to find varying sampling rates from track to track on the same album; perhaps they have fixed it now.
Apple Music on iOS changes sampling rates properly for different sampling rate tracks; not so with MacOS, which requires the MiDI tool to be set manually for every single sampling rate change.
I have many Apple-eco-system products but, for a music service streaming playing on Audirvana, I use Qobuz. Unfortunately I doubt Apple will ever license their APIs.
I agree. The eco system is very closed and I think that the possibilities that Apple may offer now or in the future is too demanding for a small enterprise like Audirvāna. It isn’t even integrated in most of the apps of (big) audio companies.
