Arbitrary playback interruptions on the Lumin T2

Hello!
After many years of using Roon, I decided to try Audirvana and ran into some problems when playing on my Lumin T2.

  1. Regardless of the selected source (local, Qobuz, Tidal) and format (wav, flac, dsf), the player randomly stops after playing several tracks. If you click “next track” after stopping, the last played track will be played again.
  2. The playback progress indicator does not work. It shows the length of the track, but does not change the playback progress.

Lumin T2 has no problems with Roon, Lumin Player, or Linn Kazoo.
Audirvana also has no problems with other UPnP devices. I checked it with Ruark 410 and LG TV — the indicator is working and playback is non-stop. This leads to the conclusion that the problem is related to communication between Audirvana and Lumin T2.

PS. As I noticed, a similar problem has already been discussed in another topic created by the owner of Lumin, but it was closed, so I suggest continuing the discussion here.

I would appreciate any ideas that can help solve this problem.

Lumin actively works on the issue you describe. Please look at the like from @Ddude003 for an update on this.

Hello everybody,

I had already sometimes this problem but it became constant. Palyback stops after 1-2 tracks, Audirvana loose the contact with the streamer and do not display the track information like time for instance… controls like stop are lost. Only thing to do is selecting another track.

The time information are not transmitted on the streamer as well, the is no time information on the Lumïn display when tracks are played by Audirvana.

I think it’s happens since the new audirvana update. v.2.9.2 on iMac 27" late 2013 Catalina 10.15.7 Lumin frimware… don’t know where to look, but it’s the last

It’s only happens with my Lumïn T2, it works flawlessy with Marantz ND 8006.

I have mostly Hi-Res Flac files, but i do not think file format have any influence any influence.

This is a known issue with the Lumin T2. They are apparently working on a firmware fix.

I have updated my Lumin U2 to version 18.0b, and the problem seems resolved! The test continue…

No sorry, The Lumin app works well. The issue is related to the link betwwen Audirvana and a Lumin product. My job is to submit a report of the bug to the Audirvana team and I have to help the team to debug the issue in my configuration. It is not my job to contact Lumin to talk about UPnP protocol.

I know that Lumin support is very responsive, I called on them when I had a problem with an update and they quickly resolved the problem.

Only suggesting that your comment of using 18.0b leads me to believe your not…

Hi @HTox,

I’m using the 18d test firmware with a Lumin D3 here at our office, and it works properly. You should ask Peter to send you the link for this firmware version.

@Antoine and @Ddude003, I agree with you, if Lumin has a new firmware I can test it to know if that fix my issue. I will send an e-mail.

I asked the last firmware of the Lumin U2.
Peter have send to me the firmware 18.0g but unfortunatly this update don’t fix my issue.

I sent by e-mail the full debug log of AS to [email protected].
