AS 1.4.5 doesn't work anymore on mac

AS 1.4.5 impossible to open since this morning on my iiMac. When I launch it, after a few seconds the program crashes. I rebooted the computer, disinstalled and reinstalled AS restarting from 1.3, but it keeps on crashing. It worked very well until this morning. Any clue?

Have you subscribed ?
Audirvana Studio isn’t meant to work if your trial period is over and you haven’t subscribed.
This might be totally unrelated of course, but my AS crashed the day the trial period ended :relaxed:

My trial ends june 30th….

Try Disabling Spotlight from running in the drive were you have your music files…

You can try deleting your Audirvana Studio preferences and check…

Apple hide the Home Folder in User Library at some time depending on OS System…
When you have clicked your Home Folder, and cannot see the Library Folder in there,
just do a ā€˜ā€˜cmd J’’ to show the folder settings preferences and see at the bottom…
click Show Library Folder and then you’ll have access to the rest forever.

Close Audirvana.

Go to User… Home Folder… Library… Preferences…

trash com.audirvana.Audirvana-Studio.plist in that folder (those are A+ software preferences)
copy them elsewhere, then trash them form the pref folder, if you want to put the old…

Restart Mac, Restart Audirvana and see, yes you’ll have to do your prefs again…

Unfortunately it didn’t solve the problem. Thx anyway

Try just installing the latest version over the current installation.

Probably something was corrupted. I emptied everything related to audirvana in the home library (cache, preferences, etc etc), rebooted the Mac and restarted from scratch. Now it works, hopefully for ever… Thanks guys for your help, and in particular RunHomeShow who showed me the way. In fact, as far as I understand, I had to delete more stuff than he suggested, but it was the right path. Have a good day everybody!

Did it again with 1.5.5. I had to restart everything from scratch again after eliminating everything related to audirvana in the home library. Very very very annoying…

And I have still the same problems with the remote: two minutes of music and then it stops. Sometimes I also get an horrible white noise and I have to unplug everything. Very very annoying again.

Last but not least radio doesn’t work (login error, wtf?). Sounds very good though, but all the rest unfortunately really sucks: stability, what stability ???

Hmm, somethingā€˜s up with your Mac. Have you considered doing a clean install of the computer? Are you on BigSur?

Yes Big Sur. But everything else is going fine…

Something is up on your system. I run it also on MacOS BigSur. I don’t have any of those issues.

Mine is an iMac late 2015 3,3 ghz quad core intel core i5 with 24 gb ram

I run it on a MacBook Pro of approximately same age.

So you think the solution would be a clean install… Any issues with the remote?

Try to reduce pre-load cache to say 4000MB.

Nope, remote worked too without problems. I don’t use it that much since I usually sit in front of the computer. Used it couple of times, no issues.
