AS Internet Radio using lowest bitrate codecs

Hi, AS is using 128kb/s MP3 for stations such as BBC Radio 2, despite the channel broadcasting AAC-LC at 320kbs.

My Naim NDX2 used to select the 320kbs channel, as does Roon, does anybody know if AS can be made to select the higher bit rate codec, and/or if it’s on AS’s incredibly long list of things to fix/address?

That’s a good question. I do know that only since the latest releases (1.4 and 1.4.5 on Mac, and 1.4.5 on Windows) AS is able to play AAC Internet Radio streams at all. Before that it was only able to play MP3.

So maybe in a future version it will be possible. But who knows
