Audio Static While Using Audeze Maxwell Via USB Dongle

Hello,

I’m new to the studio and having an issue where there is a huge amount of static while using the USB-C wireless dongle for the Audeze Maxwell headphones, worked fine if I plug it in direct USBC.

Any known fixed or settings I need to change?

Welcome…
More information is need about your set-up and computer platform/OS and resources… Please paste your debug information here so folks can help the best possible… It can be found this way…

Maybe the BT input is being overdriven… try lowering the volume level in Audirvāna.

From the Maxwell User Guide:

The PC mode on the dongle should be used for all other devices, including other consoles like the Nintendo Switch, Steam Deck, etc. as well as PC and Mac. The PS and Xbox modes are specifically tailored to those consoles and PC mode will give you the best functionality on other devices.

USB gives you lossless 24/96kHz playback… They don’t state much about the quality of the Bluetooth connection playback… You may want to make sure you have selected the proper Bluetooth protocol if lowering the output gain in Audirvāna doesn’t solve the noise problem…. However, you may like to use another DAC and connect the Maxwell headset via the 3.5mm AUX input with a good quality cable to get the most that Audirvāna has to offer in regard to high resolution file playback.

Hi @wilsonbj,

Can you send us a copy of the "Debug Info“ when you have this issue? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>My account.

Note: When you click on the Debug Info button, Audirvana automatically copies all its content. Please paste it in response to this message.
