Audirvana 3.5 does not recognize DacMagic 200M as being DSD capable

I acquired a Cambridge Audio DacMagic 200M for its full MQA support and DSD capabilities.

Unfortunately, Audirvana 3.5 [Audirvana Mac Version 3.5.50 (3580)] does not recognize the 200M as being DSD capable.

If I play back DSD through Audirvana, the DacMagic recognizes that I’m playing DSD (one of its DSD lights turns on) but Audirvana lists it as 24/352.8kHz. And sometimes, distortion is audible.

My previous DAC (iFi iDSD Signature) was recognized, and Audirvana was able to upsample playback to DSD, which was a capability I appreciated.

What to do?

check if your DAC is set to DSD over PCM 1.0 if your DAC goes to DSD128
or DSD over PCM 1.1 if it goes higher rates…
