Audirvana Plus 3 and E-MU 404 USB running half-speed

I am trialling Audirvana and I am enjoying the much improved sound. However, I was using the Creative E-MU 0404 USB as a DAC which worked OK until I noticed that Direct Mode could not be enabled. It turns out (according to the FAQ) MacOS Sierra kernel extension IOAudioFamily.kext is ‘broken’ in that respect. So I followed the instructions and installed IOAudioFamily.kext from the El Capitan Installer. The Installation went OK and audio that doesn’t go though Audirvana is fine. However when I try to play anything through Audinirvana it plays at half-speed. This happens whether Direct Mode is enabled or not. Can you help? I am using the Built-in Line Out for now but sound is a bit coarser.

Can you try with enabling the option “Use as stereo only” in the Audio System page of the preferences?

Thanks - it’s coming up as stereo anyway. I can’t find the use as stereo only option, though.

Tried the E-MU using the Optical Digital input and it’s ok! So It seems to be only the USB connection that has this issue.
