Audirvana Plus keep getting "No Response" in activity and beach ball OSX

Hi Damien,
No, there is nothing except the Audirvana app in any search on either iMac or MacMini.
After the Library/Application Support there is no Audirvana listed. Both machines show in the app that there is a path to the location as you indicated in earlier post.
ie /Users/ “myname” /Library/ApplicationSupport/Audirvana/AudirvanaPlusDatabaseV2.sqlite

Can you send me a copy of the “Debug Info”? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>General>Debug Info

Note: By clicking on the Debug Info Audirvana button automatically copies all its content, all you have to do is paste it in response to this message

As requested, this is the Debug for iMac Thursday 16:12 UK. Please let me know if you want the MacMini info.

Hello @bigh47, this is the path of your library, do you have your really have your database at this location?

I am now very confused by your question.
My understanding is the database for the music is the file on the NAS hard drive, the AUTO: /Volumes/Music/AUDIRVANA.

Library database path: /Users/howardsanders/Library/Application Support/Audirvana/AudirvanaPlusDatabaseV2.sqliteand and where it points makes no sense to me.
I think that was generated by the Audirvana app. I assumed it was a local file for ??
But I can’t see anything on either machine at this location.

This /Volumes/Music/AUDIRVANA is a new “consolidated and updated” file so I have changed to the path above, it was /Volumes/Music/Music/Mastermusic most of my problems were happening with this setup so I know that that hasn’t changed anything operations wise.
I was working to try and eliminate some errors A) in my files B) and to find out why Audirvana was presenting some albums wrongly ie double entries of some album and some tracks.

Am I missing something? As always any help will be appreciated.

This is the default path for the database created by Audirvana, do you have a Audirvana folder in Application Support? do you have something in it?

I’m sorry I can’t be any clearer.From Settings
I have “Library” 1st method Monitored folders /Volumes/Music/AUDIRVANA where I have a 800Gb file of music
Nothing in 2nd Method ie no iTunes sync

Library Database path file and after Application Support/ I have no entries for Audirvana I have NO file labeled /AudirvanaPlusDatabaseV2.sqlite Even though the Audirvana app is showing that path

I do not remember ever entering that information, I assumed it was system generated.

You keep asking me this same question, so back to you:-

What is this .sqlite file path for? As my library, as far as I can tell is the /Volumes/ path.

I have just closed and re-opened both machines. ATM iMac shows 2138 Albums 26.02K tracks and MacMini 2151 Albums and 26,100 tracks.

Both machine Audirvana programmes still not downloading in the same order as music file.

I was waiting but it is becoming more annoying the fact that as far as I can see bulk edit ARtist for example is missing in V 3.5, having edit every album to the correct format when I have many artists with 10 or more albums could be so much easier.

The issue is probably caused by special characters in the metadata. Search the forums, you’ll find some hints.

This programme is the pits, I’m really fed up every time I load Audirvana a different version of MY data is loaded.

There are random ALBUMs that now have no artist.

There are entires that have 2 of the same artist entered I can’t get rid of one of them.

I can’t EDIT an Artist still eg I have Bowie, David as the artist I would like this David Bowie but I can only change the sort and then the entry is Bowie, David but in the Ds and looks odd.

Audirvana does not seem to work the same on 2 different builds of OSX, overall I think 3.2 was better than 3.5.

If I can’t get this to work better the it’s going to be good bye to Audirvana, TBH I would expect better from a free app.

Audirvana is essentially garageware, and rather arrogant at that - it is easiest to accept the dysfunction or look elsewhere

Like any software product, Audirvana has it share of issues. This is fairly basic functionality though, so there must be something else at play here related to the system, not necessarily Audirvana.

Any suggestions? Do you know if I can un-install and re- install? My main concern now is that the 2 computers seem to act differently with the same data source.
