Audirvana Remote Android unable to connect

Hello.

I’m sure it’s been discussed before but I can’t find a solution in the forum.
New to Audirvana here.
Installed latest Audirvana Studio to new mini-PC with Windows 11 and paid subscription.
Intention is to run this mini-PC headless.

Installed Audirvana Remote Android to two devices, cell phone and tablet.

In cell phone, Remote gives straight message that no computer was recognized.
In tablet, Remote shows mini-PC (Beelink) but then again gives straight message that no computer was recognized.

All devices are in the same network.
Firewall on mini-PC allows Audirvana connections.
Then I disabled Firewall completely.

Audirvana without remote control is useless to me.
Very frustrating experience so far.

What the solution might be?

I just did. Same problem.
I’m on a Private network.
Incoming connections are not blocked.
Audirvana Studio is the allowed through firewall settings.
Nothing.

Can you try to clear the cache of your App before trying to connect again? Here is how to do this:

Problem the same.
Is it possible that the distance between the router and the mini-PC plays some role?
Mini-PC is connected to the router via WiFi.
Router is by the entrance door of the apartment.
Mini-PC is in the office room, about 7 meters away.
Cell phone or tablet remote don’t work whether I’m in the office close to the mini-PC or in the living room in between.

Still no solution to the problem. Can it be that Audirvana Remote is installed in older Android 7 devices?

So, even with no Android remote I’m giving Audirvana a try. Streaming from my miniPC to my stereo via wifi sometimes has problems. Sometime it just stops. Must be a bandwidth problem but my other streaming service works faultlessly all the time. Is there a setting I could change inside the Audirvana to make it run smoothly?

Can you send us a copy of the “Debug Info” when you have this issue? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>My account

Last night I used Audirvana faultlessly for three hours. Now I’m using it also faultlessly. It’s streaming to my amp with no proble. Maybe it was a bug back at the beginning.

But just for the sake of it I’m posting the debug info. If you thing something looks weird or could be changed for the better, let me know.

@Antoine I just encountered another problem. All this time I streamed music from TIDAL, all OK. Then I started saving my favourite radio stations only to find that none is playing. They all stream low bitrate mp3 but none of them is loading the stream to play. Bugger. What’s wrong now?

So, I saw that another user had the same problem. Radio stations play normally via WASAPI and the computer speakers. When choosing to send the stream via UPNP to my amp (via WASAPI or ASIO or KERNEL), no sound is heard through my amp and speakers.
Weird. Is this a normal behavior?
So far, two problems with Audirvana:

  1. Can’t connect Audirvana remote on my Android devices to control the server on a Windows 11 pc.
  2. Radio streams are not going to my amp.

Hi @kokixx,

For the radio issue, can you go in your device audio settings in Audirvāna Studio and enable the option to not sent raw PCM stream? After doing this, please try again to play any radio station.

And for Android, I’m really sorry for this, we are working a lot of the Remote and we will soon release a beta version that may help for your connexion issue. Would you like to be part of it?

I toggled the raw PCM stream on and off and made no difference, no radio was heard.
The problem I found was with the upsampling. I had upsampling on to DSD128. When I deactivated upsampling to DSD, the radio was heard from my amp and speakers. Is this normal?

As for the beta version of the remote, thank you very much for the proposal but for the time being I’m not a very regular listener due to work and I think I can’t be of much help.
Of course I will try the new version when is out.

For the record, only the upsampling to DSD (64 or 128) made the problem with no radio sound.
Upsampling to PCM (any method) let the radio play normally through my amp and speakers.

If you try to upsample a track to DSD but not a radio, does it works properly?

Yes, any track from TIDAL works properly when upsampled to DSD.
I haven’t tried playing my local files yet, there are on an external HDD connected to my previous PC.
