Audirvana Remote connection issue to Windows 10

Have you tried to kill the windows firewall, to make sure it isn’t a firewall issue?
Have you tried to uninstall your virus scanner?

If that doensn’t work I wouldn’t wait for the fix and smash my pc to the next level.

Hello @Soundsgood, have you experienced some crash during the use of Audirvana? you seems to have problems with your system that may affect the use of Audirvana.

The recent update looks promising… no connection loss until now.

Great advice but an easy solution is to go into the router settings and combine the 2.4 and 5Ghz networks as one avoids the whole issue. I was having a similar type problem with something totally outside the scop of this discussion. After combining the two into one network, one device can be on the 2.4Ghz network and another can be on the 5Gh network and you avoid the problem of two different networks. The two devices actually see each other because 2.4 and 5 are the SAME network. Trust me this works. If you don’t know how to do this, consult your router manufacturer support. I use a Linksys. I love it. each device chooses which Ghz is best for it but they all se each other because they have been comvined to be one network!

On number 2 above, I went into mu Linksys router settings and combined 2.4 Ghz and 5Ghz into ONE network. Therefore a device on 2.4Ghz and another on 5Ghz “see” each other because they are one the same network. Not hard to do. Consult router manufacturer suppport and they can talk you through it. Solved ab ubrelated problem not appropriate to this forum for me but problem was similar in scope. I have no more problems since.

I have the same problem. Just bought the Audirvana Remote for Andriod. Trying to connect to my Audirvana 3.5.5 on my PC with Win10. PC is connected to the WI FI router via Ethernet cable. My Smartphone (Samsung Note 4) is connected to the same Wi FI router (I tried both 2,4 and 5 GHz options).

I start the Audirvana on my PC, then I start Audirvana Remote app on my smartphone. The app sees my PC on the network and when I press its icon I get the request to enter the code displayed in Audirvana. I enter the code. It says Loading for some time. Yet then I get the error that says that I should check the Firewall settings for Audirvana.

I checked the Firewall settings and I have about 8 Audirvana mentions there and I allowed all of them. Then I tried turning off the Windows Defender Firewall protection completely. Network setting is Private. Nothing helps, I still get the error message.

What should I do to get it working?

Hello I could not get the remote working until I went in and spent a little time in Windows 10 defender I turned off all fire wall settings ,as well as anti virus protection then tried it
It then asks your tablet ,in my case 2 new iPads and ask for a 9 number code which will show up on your computer.
Once done Your in business !!

Yes, I have reached a stage when it asked me for a code, but when I entered it nothing happened. I still get the error.

Still sounds like a firewall issue. It probably establishes connection on a different port.

I turned the Windows Defender pretection completely (three Firewall & Network Protection items: Domain, Public, Private turned off) to check if the issue is there but there was no change to the situation.

How about some other “security” software? Maybe that has some firewalling capabilities that is still active.

I have no other security software running. I had Malwarebytes software on, but it had no active protection, just manual scanning mode. I removed it as well to eliminate the influence but it didn’t help.

If my Audirvana on PC was detected by the Audirvana Remote app and the requested code was shown in Audirvana PC and entered in the Android app, how can it be a firewall issue? The PC software and the Android app clearly see each other, otherwise how could they trigger the code procedure?

I’m assuming that discovery is working on one port and the final connection is established on another port. But I’m just guessing. It’s definitely either firewall or networking issue.

That would be really stupid if the discovery were done via another port. I’m trying to find a way to see if my ports are closed but I’m no specialist.

What is really appalling - a total lack of response from the support team. Both here and via email.

It is as it is, you can’t expect them to debug every possible setup. Find somebody who is in IT to give you a hand to troubleshoot this.

If they lack resources to help each customer who paid for their product, it is a sign of a bad management. Anyways, they could have at least replied during these 5 days with something. Not ignore a customer completely.

Is there any progress regarding the issue with remote on Samsung Galaxy Tab S2? I verified all 5 items in your checklist, but no connection is established.
