Audirvana remote on iphone won't play tunes

Audirvana remote app on my iphone connects to my audirvana app running on my mac mini fine.
I can search, filter, view playlists, etc.
But I can’t get it to actually play any tunes. Pressing on a song doesn’t cause it to start planing, pressing the play button doesn’t do anything, etc. Any thoughts?

i’m on 10.15.2 and ios 13.3 with no problem… have you tried trashing the app from iphone… hard shut down iphone, then restart iphone, redownload the app and see?
