@Antoine, we understand that you are flooded with messages and itâs impossible to answer them all. However, I would recommend a general response on all the negative feedback on the subscription model and an alternative for all the long time users and supporters of the Audirvana who are not willing to subscribe to Audirvana Studio.
P.S. And please resolve the UPnP issues (e.g. defects in volume control) in Studio. Might be a good idea to reactivate the v3.5 code if thatâs compatible.
And a quick addition:
@Antoine, please attend to the broken functionality that we bought in version 3.5 of the app before moving on with your new software coding!
I for have done both (owned a software company, now retired)⊠and most of the suggestions I read are quite good and actually make good and basic business sense. Especially from the sensibility of branding, i.e. know your audience.
On a personal note why do you (Jim_F) keep writing these things that do not help the conversation move forward? No one is insulting Damien, everyone here has talked many times to others and been helpful with many issues. Why do you continue to suggest that these good people do not have valid concerns?

@Joamato-- sort of what I have experienced but it would have been nice if Apple explained how they hid my iTunes library which I spent 2 full NFL seasons on Sundays ripping my 800 CDs intoâhappily all those CDs can be streamed now but it would nice to revisit them every now and then

Thatâs my same feeling. It sound absurd that you ask for a lifetime license and after few months stop developing the app. Thatâs very close to a fraud. Moreover the link to download the âoldâ 3.5 for Win is disappeared from the website. Hey Audirvana team, seems we have to ask our attorney?
Leaving current lifetime paid user with unsupported software is equivalent to taking customers money and laughing at them. Especially, if you just recently paid for 3.5 and then studio comes out and it doesnât support your OS like 3.5 does. To do this without warning or any options except being forced into a subscription based model and software that leaves customers that canât upgrade is not the way to do business as a software developer.
@Antoine I have noticed that itâs now possible to subscribe. However, I donât see how 3.5 license owners get the discount for $50 for the year. Is that offer available?
Just deleted the Studio app. Donât want subscription software on top of subscription to a content priovider, let alone software that drowns you in too many features and uses far too many system resources. Sorry Damien, you pushed it too far. I suggest you team with Qobuz and offer a decent player - content package focussed on sound quality instead.
@RickB& @Antoine : I donât eitherâ even went to âmanage my subscription/accountâ but it doesnât exist on A+3.5.46 as suggested on AudiophileStyle AND on STUDIO application WEB page it asks to click if âif you already have a 30day free trial OR are already a member of Audirvana Family click hereâ I did and it says âno account associated with this user IDâ which is my email address(doesnât even work if I click âforgot your passwordâ) it says âno user found with this emailâ even after I entered the verification code sent to my email !!âI have been a member of this âfamilyâ since (I think) 2013 !!

Update of Windows Studio is blocked. Message says to dowload and install locally. Do I download a Trial version? If I try to browse from Bitdefendter to add an exception, the apps on the browse window is not showing. I canât find Audirvana studio. I can see it on the start menu, but not from Bitdefender browse. Audirvana has always been dificult to work with.

3.5 has received an update a few weeks ago. But I donât expect it to happen that often. Itâs basically discontinued.
Juste un simple merci, pour avoir âretro-pĂ©dalĂ©â sur le format souscription annuelle et ainsi avoir proposĂ© une version License ânormaleâ avec Origin. MâĂ©tant Ă©cartĂ© dâAudirvana Ă cause de ce premier choix, je suis revenu volontiers en testant actuellement la version dâessai dâOrigin, qui est trĂšs prometteur !
