@Antoine when I have tried to play music over UPnP from my computer (windows 10) connected to ethernet the program just stop and then crash and when i have tried to reopen, it doesn´t . i had to reinstall the whole thing . the only way to send music over UPnP its putting the oversampling at maximum.
Unfortunately 1.3 has not cured the UPnP problem for me (still will not send 16/44 unless upsampled at least 2x, works for higher rate files) and now the pause controls have stopped working with Qobuz. They did work on earlier versions but have never worked for me on 3.5. Also, as I have mentioned elsewhere, the filter does not work on Qobuz selections which also worked on earlier versions. The SQ, however, is good.
Version 1.3 installed. Still no correct gapless with kernel streaming ( with “dark side of the moon” on qobuz). Still a bad functioning of the aac radios (cuts every 5 seconds). And two pc crashes… and I just received an email from audirvana “last weekend before the end of your trial period”…
Here’s some direct feedback for Damien and anybody else that is associated with this disaster called studio. Audirvana, AS and Damien have zero, zilch and nada interest in keeping their core customers and satisfying any customer. As many have mentioned, AS has not performed to the requirements to even be considered a beta program. I just now received an email from AS stating I have one week left to enjoy this amateurish, bug ridden and ugly program. UNTIL I HAVE TO START PAYING FOR IT TO KEEP IT! Audirvana has made my decision simple for me. Not in a thousand years would I ever consider buying this program much less ever pay a subscription for it.
Ouch. I understand your frustration.
I wish for this project to succeed in the grand scheme of things. But I share a lot of the concerns.
Wish there was some minimal feedback from the developer, some dialogue. It’s getting to the point where I will stop giving a shit.
Yeah, I’m just here for some mild amusement at this point. I can’t see any reason to migrate from 3.5 to this. They still don’t have a remote, which is a total joke. If 3.5 ever becomes incompatible with my Mac OS version I’ll consider it, hopefully they have a much more mature product at that time.
I’ve been monitoring AS’s “Analyzing audio files” cause it starts from 0 here, and then the progress bar just get stuck after around 15% done or so. This happens again after a restart of AS.
When I first fire up AS, my laptop’s CPU load is continuously around 20%. But after awhile it drops to 0 and 0 action on the SSD, then the progress indicator also stops. It seems as if it just stops analyzing stuff even though the program still claims to be busy.
I’ve also noticed that the X button with which you normally close a Windows program also doesn’t work. I have to rightclick Audirvana’s program icon on the start bar to close the program.
If AS did not freeze, the stop of the analysis could also be related to connection failures with the servers of MusicBrainz with which Audirvana communicates during the analysis.
I’ve been checking again. Restarted AS. Now the X close button works. But after Analyzing freezes, the close button doesn’t work any longer.
It would seem Audirvana partially freezes here because I can still play music. Before 1.3 it would completely crash at least once or twice an hour.
The same problems here. When I right-click in the taskbar to close the window, AS continues to run in the background as Taskmanger shows.
Hello I have the same issue you describe. I stopped fighting on that after having trying to Rebuild the library, add the folders after folders….never finalized and the cpu load drop to 0 and not able to close the application under windows : needs to kill the task….really tired
Here’s my suggestion to those that are waiting to see AS put into an acceptable basic program. Don’t! You will start paying to have the right to use this partially functioning beta in 7 days. All with no communication from the developer. All with no timeline as to when the issues will be resolved. Damien is giving you a partial program. He is demanding full payment. I can’t fathom for the life of me why that is acceptable to some. But it’s your money and your choice. I respect that. For those that do not want to buy into this charade, try Roon’s free trial. Just try it. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain. You will be stunned by its UI, it’s polished professional appearance, graphics and photos. If you don’t agree, there’s the half baked Studio waiting for you.
I didn’t know roon a few weeks ago (audirvana 3.5 satisfied me). This forum has been doing a huge promotion for roon since the launch of AS. I find this very unfortunate and sad but you have to admit that Audirvana has a big responsibility in this failed launch and in this involuntary promotion for its direct competitor… it’s time they act before it’s too late. Please Damien, at least talk to us, explain yourself… give us a goal… this silence is unbearable…

You are absolutely right!
I have been using Audirvana exclusively for my music for many years now.
I cannot understand why a “new product” justifies the de facto killing of A3.5, all the more because on its launch, AS seems to inflicts on the users/debuggers most of the glitches and bugs experienced in A3.5.
Considering this, I cannot believe the marketing “caca de taureau” that tells us AS has been developed from the ground up.
As a result, I have satisfied my curiosity, and installed Roon trial.
I am gobsmacked by its polish in comparison of this sorry AS affair.
Ultimately, I recognise that neither Roon nor AS actually satisfy my relatively more modest needs, however, if I were interested in that type of software solution, Roon would win me over by a very long margin, despite its superior price.
As for the difference in SQ between Roon and AS, who can know if Roon or others cannot find ways to enhance what they already offer?
I think they built the UI from the ground up.
But judging that the same bugs are present under the skin a lot of internal code was borrowed.
That at least could leave some hope to the A3.5 “refuznik” to benefit from some debugging of AS.
It will be of course the acid test of Audirvana’s respect for their customers, especially the recent A3.5 adopters.
I’ve been trying to subscribe for over a week. Today, I’m a fully fledged AUDIRVĀNA STUDIO subscriber.
I’m on the road toward this player being magnificent.

Have a nice trip.
