Bel Canto e.One Stream + Audirvana+

Connection with external Audio Devices UPnP / DLNA

I recently purchased a new Bel Canto e.One Stream. Works great with their SEEK app and as a Roon end-point.

Audirvana+ showed the e.One Stream as a UPnP device in the Audio System Menu, so setup was a snap.

the UPnP / DLNA interaction with Audirvana+ has the following behavior. You start a track and it starts and plays, just fine. At the end of the track, it seems to skip over the next track and start playing the one after what should be the next track.

For example: play an album. Track #1 plays to the end. Seems to be starting track #2, but then skips to tracks #3. Seems to do this, regardless from where I start playback within an album.

I have a very similar issue using a HEOS Link end point, however it appears the skip only happens when changing sample rates between songs. An example would going from 24bit.96khz to 24bit 48khz song in a playlist. If all the songs are the same bit and sample rate, Audirvana doesn’t seem skip anything.

In my case, these tracks are all in the same album; so, same sample rate and bit-depth.

…I can no longer re-produce the issue I observed earlier. I did notice that you implemented some UPnP / DLNA fixes for a customer with a Pioneer streamer, so maybe that repaired things for the Bel Canto Stream, as well.

The only issue I am now observing is that if I start playback of an album or playlist, and then navigate to another album or playlist and start playback (click on the small > button next to a track), playback can stop entirely, play the next track from the previous playlist/album or output a static sound from the streamer (like FM radio white noise).

If I explicitly STOP playback, I can restart from another playlist and everything is fine.
