Best album art size for big library?

hello,

i have tried 600x600 but the cover is too compressed and picture quality is not good enough

if i use 1200x1200 the scrolling and navigation in audirvana become laggy even with a macbook pro 16, it is simply not fluid as a library with 600x600

I think i’m gonna go with something in between, 900x900 imo

what album art size do you use?

I use 800x800 300dpi, it seems satisfactory for AS, iTunes and Plex.
Although I could not explain why, I have noticed that 300dpi prevents iTunes to “lose” album images as time goes by.

yes 800x800 or 900x900 seems the perfect compromise between picture quality and file size
