See this thread:

Also, I suggest a more logically correct up-sampling/decimation scheme:

Example:

44100Hz → 88200Hz
48000Hz → 96000Hz
88200Hz → 176400Hz
176400Hz → 176400Hz
192000Hz → 192000Hz
352800Hz → 176400Hz
384000Hz → 192000Hz

Sample rate limitation: 192kHz is most logical.
Limit bitdepth to 24bit: disabled (Your DAC is showing 32bit capable.)

Exclusive access: ON is most logical for best performance.

:notes: :eye: :headphones: :eye: :notes:

Thank you for the suggestion. I set it all to 96khz mainly for the stability of Dirac.

Exclusive access I always set it on when I listen while not doing other tasks.

For Limit bitdepth setting, on my laptop, it seems impossible to change…

Dirac does not define any stability issues with the plug-in being hosted in Audirvana at bit-depths and sample-rates of 32/176.4kHz and 32/192kHz… So unless you find that there is some stability issue, try following the more logical up-sampling scheme…

In fact…
:wink:Give this variation a try:

44100Hz → 176400Hz
48000Hz → 192000Hz
88200Hz → 176400Hz
176400Hz → 176400Hz
192000Hz → 192000Hz
352800Hz → 176400Hz
384000Hz → 192000Hz

Also, to allow more System RAM to be available for computational overhead and potentially better performance, lower your playback pre-load memory allocation to 8GB…

:notes: :eye: :headphones: :eye: :notes:

I use the standalone Dirac Processor, not the plug-in since I cannot run any plug-ins in Audirvana now.

By the way, my problem is not solved yet

*If you have a physical or remote controlled volume control on your pre-amp/amp are you using it? If not try using it and disabling volume control in Audirvana.

What is showing here is the ‘Virtual’ Dirac device…
Have you removed your Audirvana Origin preferences file yet? (see solution below, which is showing where Audirvana Studio preferences file is found… save it to your desktop for back-up.)
