Cast to Sonos Amp on Windows 10

Hi all,

I would like to send my music both to my Sonos Amp and my Sonos One but i can’t see these devices even through AirPlay.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks.

François-Régis

Can you see the devices through the system or iTunes/Music?

Yes absolutely ; and i have tried Roon a few weeks ago and it works very well with such software.

You can see the Sonos devices from iTunes/Music from the same system where Audirvana is installed?

Could you paste here the Debug Info?

I’m not sure AirPlay works in Audirvana on Windows. It could be Mac only feature as it’s provided by the system.

Ok, i’ve bought this software mainly for use it with my Sonos System. Is it possible to get a refund ?

You can create a share on your Windows machine and stream from there using the Sonos app.

Yes but Sonos Desktop Application is not very userfriendly. I’m looking for an interface with modern interface

You can try with AirParrot or some other software that allows you to stream to AirPlay devices from a PC.

Hello @Francois-Regis_Bona, i think what you are referring to is a multi room capability in Audirvana. We didn’t made this feature, that’s why you won’t be able to stream to your two sonos device at the same time using Audirvana. You must note that AirPlay is not a Windows 10 compatible protocol, that’s why you can’t use it to connect to your device, you may need a third party app to use Airplay in Windows 10 taht you can find on the internet easily.

Thanks but i tried several softs like Airparrot and all of them crashes during music playing. Not very reliable!

Consider getting a Mac.

Bitracer: do you know if Audirvana has plans to allow streaming to my Sonos speakers like Roon?
Is there any device I could add to make this happen? If so, any good advice on what to get?

Roon makes this easy and I really want to stay with Audirvana,

Thanks,

I don’t know. I’m not affiliated with Audirvana. Given the public statements from Audirvana, it’s unlikely. They’re focusing on UPnP which is open standard and widely supported.

The only way to steaming to your Sonos speaker is using AirPlay since they don’t have UPnP integration in their device.

Since AirParrot has been discontinued, if you’re on Windows machine have a look at TuneBlade:
