Certain songs not loading in Studio, but do load in Qobuz. One example: on the album - The Best of Fourplay -2020 Remastered, any song will load with the exception of song #9 and song #13 (BTW, these tracks are not “greyed out” as not currently available). When I open Qobuz, those very tracks play just fine. This is new, and has happened randomly over the last week or so. Restarts do not resolve. Very puzzling so any experience with a resolution would be welcomed.
It’s all over various forums that many third party players, and more rarely Qobuz Connect or the Qobuz app, are unable to play various tracks. Qobuz has said the problem is with them - there’s been mention of difficulties involved with moving their content to cloud servers, and one reference to “attacks.”
So the problem is with Qobuz, not Audirvana, and no timeline for resolution has been given other than they are working hard on it.
Interesting, I still find it strange that you CAN play the specific track on Qobuz, but the very same track won’t load in Audirvana, even when the rest of the same album does. I’ll wait it out and Thanks very much for the quick reply….
Qobuz uses different API implementations for their own native applications compared to third-party integrations. They do so to make their own apps have features that third party’s do not……
Purely a Qobuz issue. Post from a friend elsewhere today.
Dear Partners,
We have identified the source of the playback errors: it is a caching anomaly with our CDN provider.
In practice, some distribution servers are hosting a corrupted or incomplete file. Since each audio quality corresponds to a separate recording, switching quality often allows you to fall back on a healthy file and work around the issue.
Our teams are currently listing the affected tracks and carrying out a gradual cache purge. The situation should be resolved very shortly.
Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
The Qobuz Team
Thank you!
