Computer CPU differences

I was wondering if there were any general preferences for using iCore type processors vs. Xeon processors in the digital audio world. Audirvana on a very powerful Pro computer interests me. Since onboard memory caches on the CPUs themselves are getting larger and are faster than RAM by many multiples, I wonder about the performance increases with this precision and lowered latency.
This combined with the new and faster wi-fi standard seems promising. Any thoughts on this?

Audio does not require huge precessing power, if we exclude room correction and similar processing.

There’s no benefit to the sound quality from increased processing power. Quite the contrary, more CPU power means more noise that can creep up into the audio components and circuits.

For best audio quality, just enough processing power is the best solution.

Thank you for that bitracer. The RAM is in a cooler and quieter place after all.
