DSD 64 always converts to PCM on Goldnote DS-10 plus via nPnP

My iMac is connected to Goldnote DS-10 Plus via ethernet on uPnP mode. When I play DSD 64, GoldNote converts to PCM 88.2kHz with sound quality drops quite a lot. On the manual of GoldNote, via network uPnP, it is able to play up to DSD 64. I have tried both DoP 1.0 and DoP 1.1, but none worked so far. Is there any other setting I have to make changes?

Is USB an option?

iMac is too far away from Gold Note. I work with my iMac and when listening to music I just close other apps and let audirvana takes control.

You can try to reduce the pre-load cache a bit to see if this helps with DoP. I doubt it, but worth a try.

Tried, but still no DSD on Gold Note.

There have been issues with GN reported before. You can try to ask the manufacturer for support or think about getting a network bridge. Even something like RPi.

Thanks, bitracer, for your direction. I’ve contacted GN, and it seems FPGA PCB is missing. I’m waiting for it to arrive and install. Hope this will solve the issue.
