Electrocompaniet and DLNA issues

Hi there.

Fairly new Audirvana user, had it for a year but havent used it much because of some issues.

I have the Electrocompaniet ECM MKII streamer and uses Windows Based Audirvana Version over DLNA and are experiencing an annoying issue when there is a sampling change to a file or stream.

Not every time, but fairly often when there is an sampling freqv change, the new file or stream with a different sampling freqv than the file before starts, its only white noise coming or playback interruption of some sort.
To solve this I have to stop the playback and start it again.
Hopelessly annoying and makes playing a playlist with different files almost not possible without watching over it all the time.
I hade the Pioneer N70-AE before and didnt have this issue. Nothing has changed with computer hardware or networking after the Pioneer.

Any ideas to what might cause this issue?

I issued a ticket about this with Electrocompaniet as well, and after a inhouse test they got the same results. And they blame it on the audrivana software and the protocol things with DLNA.Those arrogant Norwegians…
Not so sure it is, but they didnt raise any more interest on the issue after my disagreement.

How much memory (RAM) do you have in your computer?

This computer has 4,6Gb / 3,6Gb available.
Have another machine with 12Gb RAM, didn’t make any difference.

Also tried to raise max memory buffers, didn’t to anything that either.

Don’t max the pre-load cache memory allocation. You need to leave the operating system a bit of room to “breathe”.

I took a look again at your issue and I think you already have answered your question in a way, since the issue you have do not appear when you are using your Pioneer, it can only be a UPnP implementation issue with the ECM MKII.
