Error: DLNA device disconnected

My Lyngdorf MP60 2.1 had been showing up as a DLNA output after Audirvana Studio was opened first. Now, I’m getting an error that Dpnp device is was disconnected.

As you have posted previously using the Lyngdorf MP60 I assume this was working until recently? If so you need to ask what has changed… immediately prior to your issue did you update Lyngdorf firmware? Update macOS? Update Audirvana? If the answer is yes to any it may help locate where a possible issue lies. A few other obvious suggestions which I am sure you have done already…

Powered everything off at the socket (Mac, Network, Lyngdorf etc) Then powered back on starting with Network, then Mac, then audio devices.
Reset the Lyngdorf to factory defaults and re-set up from scratch.

Same problem with Yamaha RX-A860. No update available. Everything works fine and suddenly stops: the DLNA amp is disconnected. What can I do ? I have no problem when listening Qobuz through Yamaha MusicCast.

In the absence of someone chiming in who uses a Yamaha there are a couple of things I would try. I note that you can use the device with Qobuz over Musiccast which is playing OK so it would not appear to be an obvious problem with your network but I would still try a few network and non network related changes to try and solve your problem.

If you are using wireless UPnP I would try a trial with an ethernet connection to your Mac and see whether the UPnP connection is dropped, if not then you know to focus on how you could improve your wireless connection. It is always best if your Yamaha is close to the router to wire that to the router even if the computer is connected to the router over wireless, especially if your Yamaha is close to other wireless sources (i.e TV etc).
I would turn on the UPnP Yamaha settings for “workaround for unwanted playback stops”
I would try after 2 turning on the “avoid raw PCM streams” if that is available in the settings.
I would decrease your buffer from 13312 MB to something like 6000 MB. Your device seems to handle 24/192 kHz music which would make a buffer for a complete classical track of decent length about 2 GB. With your current setting if Audirvana used the maximum permissible size macOS would be short of RAM and would start swapping excessively.
Have you tried removing the iTunes Library sync and just play some Qobuz 24/192 with Audirvana over UPnP and see if this still occurs?
Finally and most importantly I would collect a log file (settings/my account/start log session) and note the time playback stops. I would then send this log file together with the description of the event and time of the dropped connection/playback stop (open log folder and copy the file) to Audirvana support. If the UPnP connection is being dropped the log should potentially help identify the particular error at the time of the UPnP drop-out.

Hopefully someone with a Yamaha RX A860 can contribute with their experience. Once Antoine is back from the Munich High End Show hopefully he will have some more knowledgeable input!

How are your Mac and Lyngdorf connected to your network? The fact that your Lyngdorf had a problem, was resolved then the problem came back seems to indicate a potential network performance variance issue rather than a setting issue?

Other thing I would try is reducing your max memory buffer allocated to Audirvana to 6000 MB from its current 13312 MB to ensure your OS has sufficient RAM even if Audirvana uses all of its buffer allowance. I would also update macOS after Monday/Tuesday. 14.4 had a few significant issues, 14.5 will be released next week and the latest version is 14.4.1 which was released to fix the most significant bugs introduced in 14.4.

Not enjoyable when encountering intermittent issues. Feel your frustration.

I tried all the changes you suggested. Sometimes it works, I have a perfect listening without interruption, sometimes disconnection happens after five minutes, and again and again. Don’t know what to do ! I send you the log file at the next disconnection. There is a need for an update, it happens since the new version of Audirvana studio in March. Before this version, it worked very well.
