Error: unable to load first track

Hi

I am using A+ on my MacBook Air with an ifi micro DAC and headphones.

Whenever I try to play a file from my library, the screen says “Error: unable to load first track”.

Help please!

The only time I get this error is when I forget to plug in the external drive I use for all my music files, i.e. a specific file is in the database but is currently unavailable for playback. Are the tracks you’re trying to play stored on your Macbook Air?
