In classical vocal music you usually distinguish the Composer and the Lyricist (f.i. Claude Debussy and Stéphane Mallarmé, Schubert and Heine etc.) Now the information can only be stalled in the Comments field. May I suggest in the Extended fields a Lyricist field?
Classical music has lyrics?
Yes, think f.i. of opera, but the ‘Lieder’ in the German tradition as well (f.i. those composed by Franz Schubert, Hugo Wolf, Gustav Mahler, Johannes Brahms, Richard Strauss, Robert Schumann.
But also in other countries (f.i. Antonín Dvořák, Maurice Ravel, Ernest Chausson, Leoš Janáček, Claude Debussy) have set poems to music (from great poets like f.i. Goethe, Heine, Mallarmé, Baudelaire).
Though nowadays the emphasis is on songs in the Romantic and Modern period, this stands in a longer tradition of secular music since the Renaissance (Josquin des Prez, Claudio Monteverdi, Henry Purcell)
