Feature request: Album collections

I have a large list of favorite albums (from Qobuz) that can’t be filtered. Playlist are useful but when I add an album all tracks are added.

I think it would be very useful to have Album collections, something like Playlists but for albums.

Some use cases:

  • Favorite Blue Note albums
  • Favorite 2021 releases
  • Favorite Mahler recordings
  • Etc

You can pick any album and “Add” to one or more collections.

The interface within a collection could be exactly as Favorite Albums.

In addition it would be great if filtering works within Favorite Albums and Album Collections. Specially with properties like genre and year.

You can change your view in Favorites to show albums instead of tracks. Granted, that changes the view for pretty much everything (to album view), and it would be nice to be able to have some favorites show track view and others show album view.

Brilliant idea. I only play by album. I fix for my display by adding a “-” in the sort field to get my favourite albums to display first in alphabetical order.
