Hansong Stereo Hub USB and UPnP issues

I have the Hansong Stereo Hub provided by Buchardt Audio with their A500 and A700 speakers. I have trouble controlling the device with USB or UPnP. For example when connected via USB and having the Software volume control turned on the volume drops to zero. There are other issues but I want to start with this one. I do have a good support contact at Hansong and at Buchardt.

UPnP does not seem to be a highly valued tool for Buchardt. Anyway I am looking for ideas.

Do you mean when you set the volume in Audirvana, it just don’t stay at the volume you set and reset to zero?

IT jumps all over the place. Their UPNP software seems to be weirdly broken with other software too. I have to figure out how to get Mads Buchardt to listen work through this.

Since it’s an active speaker, you should consider playing without the software volume control and control the volume on the speakers.
