That depends. Roon can also use a phone or tablet as endpoint. Which allows for example to connect a phone through Bluetooth to a set of active monitor speakers which have Bluetooth support.
The music you’ll play is either coming from a locally connected drive or NAS, or streamed from either Tidal and/or Qobuz.
In Roon you can easily setup the available endpoints. And once setup, choose an output from a menu in the app.
