Hiccup playing Tidal upsampling - all songs 44.1 and MQA

Hi,

I am a new user, just installed Audirvana today, impressive. However, I am having issues with songs hick up (every song). I posting the debug info here. I connect USB from my Mac directly to RME ADI-2 DAC fs. Upsampling all songs to DSD 256 and RME sees it that way, too.

Hello @suparoek, do you still have this issue when upsampling is deactivated?

No, with upsampling deactivated, it does “not” happening.

It happens when upsampling it with DSD256. It doesn’t happen with DSD64 or DSD128. I am on the latest version now. (registered version)

I have 2 MacBooks, another one (info below) also has the same issue.

Audirvana Mac Version 3.5.40 (3570)
macOS 10.12.6 with 4096MB RAM

When you are upsampling in DSD you tend to rely more on the quantity of RAM that can be used in Audirvana. For your case have you try to lower the quantity of RAM that Audirvana can use? Because the more the software can use, the less you can have for MacOs. Can you first set it at 5000MB?

You can change this setting in the audio output settings:
