If I remember correctly, there isn’t a Debian/Ubuntu repository for Audirvana, so instead of updating you have to uninstall the old version and install the new one. (Someone let me know if I’m wrong about that.) You know how to install; do you know how to uninstall the old version?
Hi,
Thanks for answering. Yes, I know how to do that. Where can the latest versions be downloaded from (the link indicated on the app is cut off - I cannot see the whole url…).
Perhaps Audirvana should add a knowledge-base article about this…
Well in fact… ![]()
Sudo apt update in the terminal window does the trick
Thanks to all. Update (+Upgrade) done!
Thanks for the correction. For my education, is this because the initial install adds an Audirvana repository, or because apt update/upgrade will work without being connected to a repository?
I wouldn’t know, I’m not an IT expert (and I would like to keep it that way
). All I know is that you need to install the Linux package from the Audirvana site the first time and then updates will work with apt. So, maybe, Audirvana adds a repository resource when you install it? Maybe @Antoine can shed some light?
I think so. But I use the Update management application on Linux Mint myself by the way. That fetches available updates from Audirvāna.
It takes the file from our website, which hosts the Linux files. If you do the command apt-cache policy audirvana-studio, you will see ![]()
