I cannot play a low res file after a DSD file

If I start listening to a 16 bit 44.1 Flac file when I open Audirvana on my Mac mini things go ok until I play a DSD file. The DSD file will play alright but I will not be able to play another 16/44.1 or 24/96 there after, only DSD. Unless I reboot the Mac.

I do not know how to send a bug report. I see others do that for help.
Maybe this would be helpful. I’m using the latest recent Mac IOS sequoia on a Mac mini going to a new Denafrips Pontus 15th edition.

For clarification I am not using the Mac mini to network audio. I just play local files from my Mac through Audirvana Origin to the Denafrips to the Hegel Integrated.

This is not exactly true… as we see, the Hegel H190 is on the Ethernet bus connected via UPnP as described below…

Another aspect to investigate…

Try transmitting your DSD files as DoP 1.1

Try increasing your ‘Sample rate switching latency’ and enable ‘Mute during sample rate change’.

I presume, you are connecting the analog outputs of the DAC to the Hegel… Yes?

No need to go any further and thanks you for all your help. Today I tried a different Mac, a Windows computer, a different usb, and just to be really fair a different DAC.
The problem is the Pontus 15th USB some where. It seems to only partly handshake or sync after a DSD file has been played. If I unplug the usb and then plug it back in again I’m fine until next time.
The saving grace right now is that things run perfect if the Pontus is hooked up to the Denafrips Iris 12 I have and connected the by I2S.
I’m still waiting for a response from Denafrips as to what to do. It sounds good but I clearly feel cheated until this is resolved.
