I used to be able to hook up remotely to my desktop computer but seldom my laptop. I have been trying the various firewall settings noted and now I can’t hook up to either computer with my remote application.
This happens to me from time to time.
Re-booting my router always seems to sort the problem out, though I find occasionally that also rebooting my computer (on which I have Audirvana itself) and phone and/or tablet (whichever I am using as a remote at the time) is necessary.
But rebooting the router is always necessary - this seems to be the key.
I used to go through the process of checking and editing firewall settings (which usually worked, eventually), but since I’ve got into the habit of rebooting my router whenever I have this problem I have not needed to do this.
Basically, it’s the old advice of “Switch everything off and on again”.
