Integer modes, how can they both be bit-perfect?

Hi Damien,
One thing I’d really like to know re Integer Modes 1 & 2, I understand that they each give a (slightly) unique presentation, but how can this be if they are both feeding the dac with ‘perfect’ bits?

This is due to time smearing or jitter.

OK, interesting, is there a source for this info?
So I’m assuming ‘Mode 2’ is doing something that increases jitter…?
Any comment @Antoine ?
