Is there a limit to the number of favourite tracks in AS?

Hi,
I am liking Qobuz tracks using AS.
I have over 10400 tracks liked (might become over 100 000 later!)
but when I quit and restarted AS it shows 10039 - so over 360 favourite tracks are missing.

So - is there a limit for the number of liked tracks?

  1. in AS
  2. in Qobuz
or is this a bug in AS?

10039 doesn’t seem much since I only marked tracks from artists with starting letter A-C and I still have to do D-Z.

Forgive me, but when you get to that number, aren’t they just tracks? Favourite would suggest something else?
:grinning:

I’m almost 50 years old and I have a brother that’s 8 years older then me that played music all the time, so I have a lot of favourite tracks of the 60s - 70s and especially the 80s.
(90s and later are meh)

When I open an album I want to see immediately which tracks are my favourites so I mark those.

Btw I just checked quickly and all my liked tracks are still there in Qobuz.
And in Audirvana for some albums the tracks I liked before are no longer liked.

It looks like Audirvana is not reading all the liked tracks when it starts.

Have you gone into the settings and done any housekeeping, rebuilding the database etc.?

When you get old like @MQA_Tester you’ll probably have more than 3 favorites.
You know how weird old people are :joy::wink::rofl:

Yes, I just did. And upon restarting Audirvana I see (again) “10039 tracks”
But it’s not the local albums database that are the issue. 95% of what I liked are tracks on qobuz.

thanks

It’s about time we get Mr @Antoine involved on this one, how about you post your screenshots of Qobuz and Studio and your debug report. Might speed things up and help Antoine. Alternatively you could send it to support direct.

I post here two screenshots of the very end of my “favourite tracks” in both Qobuz app and in AS.

As you can see, the album “Eliminator” by “ZZ Top” is … well … eliminated  in AS.
And the top right corner shows 10039 tracks, it increases when I like more songs, but once I restart AS it says 10039 tracks.

This is the end of my favourite tracklist in Qobuz

It’s not the amount as such, it’s the fact of listing them at all. It’s just part of the, in my humble opinion, the over the top need for categorisation, the need for lists.
I just like to open Origin, scroll through ‘artists’ or more often than not, "albums’ and pick one and play it.

One album with tracks I added a week ago.
Audirvana doesn’t seem to recognize the tracks I liked.

(black = AS, white = Qobuz app)

167 albums favorites, most that I discovered via our album of the week and I don’t want to lose them. Of course if your not streaming it’s a non issue.
68 tracks favorites, just because they are flipping good, and I suppose they are the test track kinda stuff.
I’m also not so OCD about the metadata sorting thing, I lose patience with it. If the album cover and title & artist are kosher I’m good :slightly_smiling_face:

Total files you “liked” (heart symbol) ?

I just decided to removed the database file from it’s location - to make sure no localy liked tracks are in the database - and when I restarted I see this :
image
Exactly 10 000 tracks.

So it looks as if AS is reading the 10000 most recent liked tracks from the Qobuz server … and then retires. :frowning:

Whoa now, I sort of remember something about a limitation on Qobuz API about track number, playlist or favorites I don’t remember which. @Antoine will be able to clearly tell us.

Hi @MQA_Tester,

As I do not have an account with 10 000 tracks as favorites, I would like to reproduce your issue on my side, would you mind sharing me your email and password of your Qobuz account so I can check your issue out? You can send those info at support@audirvana.com

I recommend you to reset your password before or after I have checked the issue out for security purpose

Just sent you an email.

I received your mail, will come back to you as soon as possible.

I think Roon is stupid. I tried it and it didn’t recognize the albums I had already liked in Qobuz.
I’ve no time to like albums both in Qobuz app AND in Roon.

Audirvana is much smarter, as it works together with the Qobuz app:
You like an album in Audirvana? it’s also liked in Qobuz.
You like one in Qobuz? It’s also liked in Audirvana.

If Roon can do that, than I consider it. Until then: my money => Audirvana.
