Two weeks ago Iāve installed the latest AudiNirvana 1.12.2 on my MacBook Pro (Intel, MacOS 12.3.1). Playing with it, Iāve found two types of problems, maybe to due to my inexperience.
Iāve imported my collection of music in the local HD, previously managed by iTunes. Well, for a lot of Albums the tracks are doubled, even if in iTunes (and in the file system) there only one instance. How do I fix this?
Iāve configured the upsampling for my DAC with r8brain. Sometimes, when I restart the program for a new listening session, reconnecting always the same DAC, the sound it is not upsampled correctly: It plays at lower speed (the resulting sound is slowed). Iāve to restart the Mac to solve the issue. Any idea about the cause?
ā¦Make sure āAudio MIDI Setupā settings are set to the maximum Fs (sample-rate) of your DAC, and make sure the maximum sample-rate set in the Audirvana Studio settings is set correctly to the maximum Fs of your DAC.
Hi Antonie,
Iāve checked in the folder view.
If I view the Album view, I see only one instance.
If I view the Track view, I see duplicated tracks for some albums. How can I see the pathname of each track from here?
Checking also with finder search, I see only one instance of such tracks.
The problem happened again. Iāve made no change on Audio Midi or Audinirvana upsampling setup.
It seems that with the setting of a custom upsampling in Audinirvana, where I specify the exact upsample to apply for any frequency, the problem is solved. Itās strange⦠never faced with iTunes or other players.
Ok, Iāve found in the Edit the INFO tab the track pathname.
Well, the pathname of doubled tracks is the same.
So, I think that there were some problems in the indexing of my local collection.
How can I rebuild it?
You have an option in AudirvÄna Studio settings under the local section to rebuild your database index. If this doesnāt work, I will send you a link to give me a copy of your database so I can take a look at it.
Thanks. I tried with the rebuild but it failed (no action). So, I erased manually the DB in the file system and started from the begin the indexing. Now it seems correct, with no doubles.
