L'Audirvana EQ ne fonctionne pas

Bonjour,
Très intéressé par l’EQ d’Audirvana, je me suis rué vers la mise à jour de Studio mais je n’arrive pas du tout à le faire fonctionner.
J’utilise habituellement le plug-in Mathaudio.

Bertrand

I would imagine that you would want the Mathaudio user interface to still pop up even thought you have pressed the disable button… That way you could reenable and change other parameters… If you wish to disable the Mathaudio VST entirely you would have to goto the Processing and choose No Effect for that VST…

Hi Ddude003 !
Thanks for your reply. To test the new EQ, i don’t want to use Mathaudio and don’t want to see the pop up with the user interface.
Even i choose “No Effect” in the plug-in section, Mathaudio still opening when i press “play”
Anyway … i imagine the EQ can working even Mathaudio is running. I my case, no. I hear absolutely no change coming from the EQ.
So … for the moment, i still using the Apple Parametric EQ to adjust the sound in Audirvana. It’s a pity … because the Audirvana EQ seams to be better with better adjustments …

Please paste your debug information report here, so we can see your computer/Audirvāna setup…

It looks like you already have 4 plugins used…
put the 3 Apple one at no effect…
best, put the needed one Math audio or Studio one on first place

Using ~6 gig of ram for audio buffers on a 8 gig system might not be such a good idea… You might try setting it for 2 gig…

Note the bold text below…

Plug-in DSP takes a lot of System RAM and CPU overhead and you are allocating more than 50% of your System RAM for playback pre-load memory (6.4GB) , And you have your music library stored on your System drive… You are also streaming files from TIDAL that requires System RAM and CPU operational overhead…

Both @RunHomeSlow and @Ddude003 are giving you great advice… follow it… Why are you running so many instances of the Apple EQ? EQ Studio does not occupy a plug-in insert… it is integrated into the audio-engine signal flow…
Enable the other settings you see there in bold text

Your system is at the basic recommended requirements for macOS, and this would not include the added CPU/RAM overhead that you are taxing the System with…

:notes: :eye: :headphones: :eye: :notes:

I know that. To test the EQ, i’ve disable all the effect i’ve configure before.
Whitout result … i’ve set again all the Apple parametric EQ i need in my configuration.
Bertrand

Ok, i will try your setting advices.
Thanks to ou and @RunHomeSlow and @Ddude003 !

Please find the print screen of my settings. Even i set the Max. memory lower, no more Audio Units … Mathaudio still running when i play and the EQ give no sound change …
:upside_down_face:

We see that you still have 'Exclusive Acess’ disabled and ‘Integer Mode’ disabled… Set these to “ON”

Do you have no sound-output with EQ Studio enabled and with EQ Studio disabled? Or are you saying that you do not hear changes when making changes to the equalizer settings?

After making the changes above.
Turn-off your DAC and shut-down your computer and Audirvāna and subsequently start your computer from a cold boot and wait until it boots before powering-on your DAC… Make sure your DAC is selected as the ‘Output Device’ in ‘Audio MIDI Setup’

You may need to trash your database file (Save a copy to your desktop before doing this)

Hi @Agoldnear !

It works now ! My first impression is the Audirvāna EQ is even smoother than the Apple parametric EQ. I will do the sound adjustment tomorrow morning.

Thanks à lot for your help !
Kind regards,
Bertrand

For best performance… I suggest you take @Ddude003 's advice and lower your playback pre-load memory allocation to 2GB…

:notes: :eye: :headphones: :eye: :notes:

Your echoic memory is only about 3 to 5 seconds… And louder is always precieved as better… So… Make sure you level match your A/B…

Hi @Agoldnear !

It’s works fine now ! The Audirvana EQ is great and works fine with Mathaudio.

I will set the playback memory to 2 GB. Thanks to @Ddude003

Have a nice sunday !
