"Load first track" problem

I used Audirvana to play music from my HDD and to stream Tidal Hifi. Tidal loads and plays fine, but very often when I am trying to play music from my HDD, I can’t get past the “Loading first track” prompt. I have had some success with rebooting my new iMac with Catalina OS, but that is a big bother. Can you fellas offer any hope for connectivity? Thanks, Whitestix in Sacramento

Hi Damien,
I have been using Audirvana for some months now and I really enjoy the software. Just recently, I am encountering an issue in that “loading first track” results in the playback controls greying out, and the software appears to freeze. I have disabled upsampling and have checked the Firewall settings. I am using a HP Windows 10 laptop with i7 processor and 8gb RAM. My local library of 1.8 tb is stored on an external USB drive.
Any help would be appreciated. Thus far, my solution has been to close and restart the software.

Problem solved.
I noticed that the problem only occurred when loading MQA folders. I changed the MQA setting to “not MQA” which fully resolved the issue. Audirvana is working perfectly now. I love the sound quality.
