Local library not syncing - even with just 2 folders

I just started a trial with Studio Mac (latest version). I am on Ventura 13.2.1 (latest MacOS). Tidal and Qoboz are working without issue. I have a machine specific issue which I am wondering if anyone can help me solve.

On my MacBook Pro 2019 model, I have been unable to get the program to scan any local music. I gave the program the required disk and accessibility access. Initially, I tried to provide my entire Apple music folder library (110K files of Mp3 or M4A). After nothing happened or even appeared to be happening, I force quit the application and reinstalled.

For the second attempt, I gave the program only 2 individual music folders - neither are in my main folder. One folder has 16 Flac files. The other about 30 M4A files. After 2 hours, the program does not show any local music. In the top section of the interface, there continues to be “Start Scanning” then the name of the first folder with a bar underneath. None of this reacts to being clicked.

When I go to settings, the program does not even let me delete the folder. I get a confirmation box to delete it, but it does not then disappear. Hitting the sync button does nothing either.

I do not have my Music/iTunes library synchronized or involved in any way.

I tried this on a MacBook Air I have, which only has one local file on it. That loaded instantly. So, the issue very specific to my main machine (where all my music is).

Has anyone seen any issues such as these? I would like to try the program, but I am stuck.

Can you send us a copy of the “Debug Info” when you have this issue? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>My account

Thanks for the replies.

Well go figure, today when I reopened the program, it synced the two folders without issue. I have not even restarted. The only difference I can think of is that I was running EXTfs from paragon software as I was dealing with a linux drive. It’s not running this morning. I’ll do some experiments when I have time to see if I can recreate the fringe case issue.

I’ll to import a much large bath of files today as well.

They are in my user music folder but not in the media folder that Apple Music/iTunes uses. I think the issue might have been driver software as today without a reboot, all is fine.
