For those wishing to update to macOS 27 on its release on Monday 14th September a couple of things to think about. I am currently running today’s release candidate so unlikely to be any significant changes before Monday. In light of that a couple of issues worth noting:
- Creating smart playlists are broken. When adding a playlist clicking on the “Add Rule” does not result in the rule selection criteria boxes appearing;
- There are a few reported issues generating diagnostic and crash reports in macOS on startup of the app. Nothing that prevents AS from running.
These are the only issues I have observed but my use case is basically UPnP to various endpoints with no upsampling or plug-ins etc, so not exactly taxing. Outwith the points above AS has worked throughout the beta for me. As always if you use plugins I would check with the manufacturer for compatibility and if you create smart playlists maybe wait for Audirvana to take a look at it next week……..
Would suggest if others have spotted further issues in the beta then add them to this thread so that Audirvana are given a “heads up” …..
