macOS + Origin + Mute + Harmony remote?

Hi everybody,

I’m trying to integrate my Logitech Harmony Elite universal remote with Audirvana Origin on macOS. Most functions work fine but I’d like to map the remote’s Mute button to toggle Audirvana’s Mute function. (If it matters my setup is M4 MacBook Air → Topping E30II → Nakamichi TA-4A.)

Right now, the Audirvana Mute control doesn’t appear in the macOS menu bar, nor does it seem to have an assignable keyboard shortcut.

Is there a way — either through a hidden preference, keyboard shortcut assignment, AppleScript hook, etc. — to directly control Audirvana’s Mute function via a keyboard command or system input? This would let me assign that command to my Harmony Elite.

Thanks!

Hi @Mudflapper,

There is no mention of the control of volume in the Apple Script dictionary of Audirvāna. I don’t know if it’s we forgot to add, but It’s something interesting to map.

Do you thing this would be a good things?

Ctrl + for increasing volume
Ctrl - for decreasing volume
Ctrl M for muting volume

Yes, thank you, that would be an excellent thing! However on macOS it would generally be command, not control. If we could pick the keyboard shortcuts ourselves that would be even better, but it’s not a dealbreaker if we need to use the ones you’ve chosen.

If we use the command key, we end up having to change those:

Command + for Zoom In
Command - for Zoom out
Command M for minimizing the window

You’re right, those are standard macOS keyboard commands and should remain. Sorry about that, I was still half asleep.
