I would vote for this but my limit is 3vvotes and I can’t work out how to delete old votes. Numerical input is a very good idea.

For memory allocation it seems to me that a factor of 1024 is a requirement. So even though you can type in whatever you want at the ‘front’, at the ‘back’ a multiple of 1024 will be made. So just what you want to worry about. What you see or what really happens.
