Many issues with my Audirvana

Hey lately im having to use Vox instead of audirvana which I pay yearly for due to the many issues im having with the program.

  1. when I go to add a new folder in audirvana local I get an error message : Fatal Error adding folder to watch list. Unexpected error while adding folder /Volumes/… Library to the watch list

  2. when I try to delete a folder from local it does nothing at all.

  3. the rating system does not work and has barely worked properly since I started using audirvana. the 5 star rating thing doesn’t change at all when u click on the stars nothing happens and if it does change its never permanent.

  4. same issue with the heart/love rating system. if it ever clicks properly its never permanent and rarely makes loved albums or tracks stay in the loved/heart playlists.

  5. there was a good way of searching using folder and that has been removed I think, making it difficult at times to search when u have a large local library. (But this issue isn’t as important.)

!! EDITED*
6. When I use the “check database integrity” or “rebuild indexes” options, I get a long list that I cannot scroll down to press ok at the bottom, I end up having to restart the app.

I have tried updating my Mac and audirvana. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

It sounds like the issues are related. Have you changed where the library is stored?

no the issue began when I tried to add new music to the folder I already had and sync, the new music would not show up, then I tried to add a new folder to the directory to see if my music would show up and I couldn’t do that because I got an error “Fatal Error adding folder to watch list.” so then I tried to delete the folder from local path and it won’t let me delete it.

This then means your database is damaged and need to be rebuilt.

To go to it with the Finder:

  1. Open its Go menu
  2. Pressing the option (or alt) key, and maintain it pressed. This reveals the Library command in this Go menu.
  3. Click on this Library command
  4. In the Finder window that opens, navigate into Application Support, then Audirvana
  5. You’ll find there the file AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite

Special Warning : When you delete the file AudirvanaDatabase.sqlite, you will lose all the Playlists you created in Audirvāna Studio.

However, you can back-up all those Playlists by going in the Local section of Audirvāna Studio.

After removing the file, restart Audirvāna Studio and sync your folder again BEFORE restoring your playlist and favorites.
