Music Integrated Mode (Legacy) always stops playing (for the initial playback)

Continuing the discussion from Music Integrated Mode (Legacy) Stoped working on 2.2.7:

(although it still having another issue that has annoyed me for months)

Here’s the rundown of this issue:

  1. Open Music app and Audirvana Origin app (Music Integrated Mode).
  2. On Music app, double-click the music track, then Audirvana Origin starts playing the track, but on Audirvana Origin’s small window it says the duration of the track is 00:20 or something, although the real track’s duration is, say, 3 mins or more.
  3. Then after a few seconds, Audirvana Origin stops playing the track, while it still keeping the audio output exclusively. And at this time, the track duration is correctly displayed.
  4. If I click the “Play” button (:arrow_forward:) on the Audirvana Origin window, it simply continue playing the track.

This happens very frequently - nine attempts out of ten. This always happens when Audirvana Origin starts to use the audio output exclusively. Of course, I set the “Exclusive Access” on.

I have always been having this issue, both with Audirvana 3.5 and Audirvana Origin, for a few months - probably after macOS Ventura (but not sure). It’s very annoying that I have to click the “Play” button every time I start playing some tracks - after a few seconds.

Below is the screenshot of Audirvana Origin (under “Music Integrated Mode”), just after it started playing the track. Although this particular track’s duration is 02:41, it shows as 00:20 here.

Then at five seconds after it started playing, it suddenly stops playing. At this moment, Audirvana Origin shows the correct track duration (02:41). Then I’ll have to click the “Play” button to continue.

The issue had solved since the first Sonoma… until 14.2 release. Then it started to happen again with the latest Sonoma 14.3 beta. I guess it might be related to some internal changes by Apple.

Hi! Have had exactly the same problems (only with “Music Integrated Mode”). I also notice the “skewed amplifier”. If you want to correct this, paste the enclosed image into the Audirvana Origin app (right-click) Contents/Resources…

@Antoine I think I found something that would probably help identifying the issue that I have reported in this post.

With Music Integrated Mode (Legacy) enabled, Audirvana Origin 2.5.11 still stops playing with Music 1.4.4.48 (on Sonoma 14.4) for a initial playback. It occurs eight or nine times out of ten.

However, once I lower the software volume less than 0dB, I find the issue will seldom happen. So I guess the logic around the “Maximum Volume Alert” would have something to do with this.

Hope this additional information will be help of you to identify the issue I’ve had.
