Music stops before end of track and moves to next track

When streaming any FLAC file through my Lumin D2, tracks do not finish and move to the next track anywhere from 30 sec to 2 min before the end of the track. This occurs on about 80% of the tracks. I did not have this issue when streaming 16/44 or 24/92 FLAC files to my Allo Digi One. However, I recently played a 24/352 album and the same thing happened on the Allo as happens regularly on the Lumin. The Allo is connected to a Chord Qutest DAC.

I am playing files from an external hard drive attached to an iMac. The iMac has 40g of RAM

How can this be corrected?

Can you send me a copy of the “Debug Info” while you have selected your Lumin? You can get it in Audirvana Settings>General>Debug Info

In addition, I have found that the music does not stop early with the Allo/Qutest when I turn upsampling off. With upsampling on, it stops and moves to the next track within the first couple of minutes (on a 13 minute track), I have heard that Chord recommends not upsampling (since the Qutest does its own upsampling). Could this be causing the problem with the Allo/Qutest setup?

This is possible, I thought you didn’t had upsampling activated since you don’t have it enabled in your debug info.

Every DAC is doing is own upsampling, some manufacturer (or on sprecific DACs) do not want third party app to do it an want it to be done internally of the DAC.

My last post was regarding the Allo/Qutest setup. I also have a setup with a Lumin D2 where I do not upsample (that is the debug info I sent to you) and have the same issue. Sorry for the confusion.

Lumin is using a “UPnP like” protocol called OpenHome, the issue you have might be related to it since they may have changed the UPnP implementation of their device to promote OpenHome. Can you reach them about your issue?
