Mytek Liberty DAC Kernel DSD

Hello,
I wonder why DSD is disabled when switching from ASIO to Kernel Mode.
The Liberty can native DSD. I ASIO no conversio to PCM is made. But if I switch to KERNEL it will be converted to PCM.
The file is DSD 64! :thinking:

ASIO supports DSD. Kernel does not support DSD. DoP only, this is also a DSD stream but, for kernel packaged as PCM. The content is still exactly the same DSD data.

Would you recommend to use Kernel for best SQ?

My advice is to listen. :wink: Listen some music in ASIO and DSD. Switch to Kernel and enable DoP and see if it makes a difference.
