.Net Desktop Runtime

Just want to mention that I had a wierd issue with upgrading to 2.92 - got the popup saying that I need to install the .net desktop runtime, clicked on the link, but the downloaded file did not run on my PC - Windows 22H2. Got exasperated trying to find the most recent build at microsoft.com so downloaded it from the link at majorgeeks.com - that version ran fine and now Studio 2.92 is happy. Could’ve been a corrupted download but I did re-try it several times. Haven’t yet compared the downloads but they both say .net desktop runtime version 8.08 for Win 64…so who knows, but if anyone else has a problem, try the link at majorgeeks.com. If anyone at audirvana wants I can upload/send both versions.

hi @Abuhannibal,

When you tried to dowload the .net runtime, did you get a 0KB file?

Alright, same issue here.
It looks like it downloads 0 bytes. Manual dowload loads a 64 KB file. Starting the file opens a Defender window. Finally, the program would not run either.

Ok, which web browser are you using? I got the issue with someone else yesterday, and going from Firefox to Chrome worked.

I’m using Firefox. Never use Chrome. Would try to use Edge instead.

It should work too with Edge

No, I did get a full download. but it may have been corrupted.

PS I may have used Firefox, will verify what default browser I have set on that machine. Thanks.

I did use Edge. So… who knows.
