No internet error when I request Trial on Windows 10

When i launch the app for the first time, I press the ‘Request Trial’ button. the application disappears for a while (~10 seconds) then i get an error saying that there is no internet connection.

I’m on a typical home network so no VPN or blocked ports or anything.

Do you have this message every time you try to request a trial?

it seems to be working now, perhaps the server was down at some point.
