Hello! Looks like signal processing doesn’t work when I use my output device in exclusive mode. Is it expected behavior?

I don’t think this is expected behavior. Can you share the Debug info here and explain what you want to do?
I just want to enable VST plugins during a play in exclusive mode.
But it doesn’t work. I can’t hear any effect of the VST plugin. It works only when the Exclusive mode is turned off.

Please remove your email information from your debug
In recent years I have used various types of processing. Always with exclusive mode on. And this has always worked. This has been with an older version of OSX though, so it could be a bug now.
When you created the Debug info you had no processing active. Perhaps you had selected it but it is not active.
And Exclusive access is also not active.
Can you play a track and post the debug again?
And the screenshots of what you have active.
Have you tried any of the Apple AU processing as a test? does this work. If you put the processing in real time, does it work?
Does it matter how you set the MQA? If you set it to No MQA, does that help? MQA and processing don’t match.

Is this a test release? If the 1.7.2.11 is a test then it is better to wait for @Antoine. In general you can say that processing just works with Exclusive mode active.
Must be something like that, I tried to mimic his settings as best I could and it all worked well. He also could update his os to 12.0.1 as well not that I’m at all certain it will make a different result
Fab Filter was worth the purchase price for my issue for sure…thanks again mate!
Fabfilter is probably a bit overkill for the application. But it just works. And I really like the interface. It is very graphic and at the same time a lot of control options. Besides the proQ3 I have tried the Saturn. Especially nice to test some tape or tube modulation.
I sometimes get some free useful plug-ins from Airwindows. And Waves also has some cool toys.

With the last option, I hear some glitches!! I have the same version with stable public release and with the latest version legacy Audirvana application. No issue when I use the same VST plugins with SoundSource or any other player or with disabled Exclusive mode. Also, I have tried CraveEQ with the same result.

I’ve tried it on Big Sur and it worked with Exclusive mode enabled, I will try on Monterey as soon as possible and will come back to you:
Yeah, I can control it. But I don’t hear any sound difference with any EQ preset and Exclusive mode ON.
If you change the Gain for example you do not hear any difference?
I’ve just tried to completely remove all Audirvana stuff, clean all the caches, reboot and reinstall it again. And looks like it finally worked for me. The only issue I still have is the glitches when ‘Realtime control’ of VST enabled and SoX upsampling set to ‘Power of two’ mode. No issue with ‘x2 only’ or when the ‘Realtime control’ is deactivated.
