Can you try to create a copy of the file and remove the embedded cover art? You can use XLD on a Mac, check for suitable application if you’re on a Windows PC.
Downloaded XLD but not knowing the program, wasn’t sure what it could do other than converting files. did convert DSD to ALAC and the file played but only at 88.2 kHz. tried converting a DSD file back to DSD and it did play but again, at only 88.2 kHz.
Try to remove the cover art and the metadata.
Removed the cover art and metadata but that didn’t work either.
At this point it looks like Marantz issue, but just to exclude completely, you can try with some other UPnP streaming software.
Do you know of any others to try?
The obvious one to use is JRiver. Just start a trial and test.

Hi, I am new to audirvana and I am having trouble getting it to work the right way. My setup is as follow: Marantz AV 7703 with heos built in. Audirvana running from a Windows 10 machine powered by Intel core i7 with 24 gbs memory. The problem is that the AVR wouldn’t play any file above 96/24 although the avr is perfectly capable of playing 192/24 and including DSD 256 natively. In addition to that, the fast forward and rewind functions are greyed out.
I am using audirvana version 3.54.

I assume that you can listen to DSD music using the HEOS app from Marantz?
Yes i am able to stream DSD from the Heos app and the same goes for bubble upn and jriver too. I udated to audirvana version 3.5.5 and i am still unable to stream DSD or any file above 24/96 in addition to that i cannot fast forward or rewind.
Was there ever a solution to Marantz avr not playing audio file 24/192? It seems that audirvana droppped support for Marantz AVRs and that’s sad.
It was established that the Marantz avr wasn’t the problem because the Marantz avr is perfectly capable of playing 24/192 and DSD natively. For instance, I can stream any type file and including DSD 5.6 from minimserver, asset UPnP, and bubble upn without any issue. Well, I sent my debug file to audirvana a few times already and I am still waiting for an answer.

Can you set the native DSD read method to “DSD over PCM 1.0” in the device section of the audio settings page?
I tried all the settings and none of them worked. DSD over PCM doesn’t work for me, still no sound when playing file 24/192
